Privacy policy for Noricom
This privacy policy applies to any and all personal data collected by Noricom. Noricom does not collect data from visitors to our website www.noricom.no. Customers and freelancers (interpreters and translators) who register on our website www.noricomordre.no do, by registering, consent to Noricom storing and processing the personal data they provide.
TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED
Noricom processes the following types of personal data about customers:
Name(s) of contact person(s), telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and order history.
Noricom processes the following types of personal data about freelance interpreters and translators:
Name, address, telephone number(s), e-mail address, CV, national identity number, sex, bank account number, year of arrival in Norway (if relevant), country of origin, language proficiency, category of qualifications as registered in the Norwegian National Register of Interpreters and/or government authorization, as well as assignment history.

Noricom DA, represented by its chair, controls Noricom’s processing of personal data.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Noricom stores personal data provided to us by telephone, e-mail or order forms, or through our website www.noricomordre.no, when a data subject registers with Noricom as a customer or freelance interpreter/translator.
BASIS FOR AND PURPOSE OF PROCESSING
The processing of personal data about customers and freelance interpreters/translators is necessary for the performance of our obligations as a provider of interpretation and translation services to our customers. The basis for processing is Article 6 (b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
The processing of personal data required for issuing invoices and paying wages is necessary for compliance with the Bookkeeping Act. The basis for processing is Article 6 (c) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
By registering with Noricom as a customer or freelance interpreter/translator you consent to us sending relevant information from Noricom to your e-mail address. You may at any time withdraw your consent. The basis for processing is Article 6 (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
ERASURE OF PERSONAL DATA
Data provided by customers is stored in our information systems for a minimum of 5 years following settlement of the final invoice prior to termination of the customer relationship for compliance with the provisions of the Bookkeeping Act. Names of contact persons and their respective telephone numbers and e-mail addresses may, on request, be erased from Noricom’s register of customers at any time following termination of the customer relationship.
Necessary data about our interpreters and translators will be stored for a minimum of 5 years following the final wage payment prior to termination of the collaborative contract for compliance with the provisions of the Bookkeeping Act. Other personal data may, on request, be erased from Noricom’s register of contractors at any time following termination of the collaborative contract with the freelancer.
Data about interpreters and translators registered in public registers, including the Norwegian National Register of Interpreters (www.tolkeportalen.no) and the Association of Government-Authorized Translators in Norway (www.translatorportalen.com), is considered publicly available personal data.
TRANSFERS OF DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
Your personal data is made available to the Noricom companies Noricom Nord AS, Noricom Språktjenester AS and Noricom Vest AS. The three companies are, in turn, data controllers for any and all order data (wage and billing data) related to orders for each respective company. For performance of the Noricom companies’ contractual obligations to provide interpretation and translation services to customers, we rely on third-party collaborative partners who have access, as needed, to the personal data we process. These include providers of accounting systems, server services, marketing services and software development services.
We protect your personal data and rights through data processing agreements with these providers. Some of our third-party partners are located in countries outside the EU/EEA. Noricom DA guarantees the existence of a legal basis for the transfer of your personal data to third parties in such countries, either through Privacy Shield or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
DATA SECURITY
Any and all personal data processed by Noricom is protected by physical and virtual access control, as well as through data processing agreements with our third-party data processors.
RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT
We process any and all personal data in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation. All data subjects have the right to access and transmit his or her own personal data, as well as the right to rectify or erase personal data. Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority against any processing that is in contravention of relevant provisions.
